Relieve Headaches with Orgasms

If a woman ever says that statement to you, you can respond that an orgasm is an effective way to relieve headaches and it’s just what the doctor ordered.

According to a study, Orgasm and Migraine an orgasm can relieve headaches.

An orgasm helped relieve migraines in about half the subjects in the study.

Orgasms and Headaches Study

83 women were questioned as to whether they had had sexual intercourse during their headache.

57 of the participants had sex. 10 (17.5%) were pain-free and another 30% had some relief. Combined, both had nearly 50% of some sort of headache relief.

Of the remainder, only 3 patients (5.3%) had headaches that were worse after an orgasm.

The study pointed out that any treatment for headaches will be compared with triptans. Triptans, which are drugs used to treat migraines, are effective 80% to 85% of the time. The fastest drug would produce relief in 10 to 20 minutes in some patients and relief in some patients within 1 hour in 75% of the patients.

However, an orgasm provides instant relief.

An orgasm is significantly less effective than drugs, but when an orgasm is effective, the onset of relief is faster.

Ok, seriously, it can provide relief for women.

The study only dealt with women but the study noted that there is “anecdotal information suggesting that relief with sexual orgasm may occur in men”.

In fact, one of the authors of the study had an example of a 52 year old man who had a 25 year history of migraine headaches. The headaches could last all day and were dulled by over-the-counter medications. If he had an orgasm, the headache would go away within minutes.

Personally, if I have a hangover or a headache I find an orgasm works wonders. It provides instant headache relief and is cheaper than Ibuprofen.
