2. Write a great bio.

Because Pure is a hookup app, it doesn't mean you shouldn't write a bio, though. A great bio will help you stand out.

The right words are effective at getting "likes" from women. You can be short and to the point or a little more descriptive. Below is an example of a bio I tested.

Avoid writing things such as how hung you are or what you'll do to a woman in bed. Don't be a comedian either and use too much humor.

Once you match up with a woman on Pure, the app gives you a 24-hour timer. Once the timer expires, the conversation expires. That's it - game over!

Once a conversation expires, there's no going back. Anything you've shared and written with a woman is gone forever.

You can get around by turning off the chat timer. I recommend disabling the timer as soon as possible - not all women are active on the app.

For example, you match with a woman who is using Pure out of curiosity on a Friday night. Maybe she jumps off and checks back Sunday, two days later. Well, the app will time out your conversation because it's more than 24 hours.

Make sure your conversation doesn't end. After swapping a few messages with a woman, tell her to turn the timer off.

Your conversation expires after 24 hours on Pure.

4. Be direct with women.

It pays to be direct with what you're looking for on Pure. When I connect with a woman, the first thing I ask her is, "Where are you located? What are you looking for?"

I ask the woman where she's located to know what part of town she is, ensuring she's local. And I ask her what she's looking for so I know if we're on the same page.

When you ask a woman what she's looking for on Pure, she'll usually ask what you're looking for. Be straightforward with what you're seeking.

Don't be wishy-washy with women on Pure. You're only wasting your time if you don't go after what you want.

Never ask a woman, "How's your evening" or "what are you up to tonight?" You can't be boring. The woman is on the app for a reason, so steer the conversation towards your goal.

Tips for creating the best Match.com profile include great photos, a well-written bio, and putting effort into the Topics section. There are 7 sections for your profile on Match.com, and you must tackle each, so your profile stands out.

This post tackles each section helping you create the best Match.com profile. Following the tips below will improve the quality of matches, boost responses, and get you more matches on the app.

1. "About me" section.

The "About me" section on Match lists your basic traits. The traits include your body type, height, smoking, etc.

Don't skip this section. It's one of the first things women see on your profile, and it shows women basic information about you.

Here is a breakdown of each trait in the section. I include recommendations for each.

Relationship status - Be honest about your current status.
Have kids - Never hide the fact you are a parent. Studies show younger men typically hide they have children.
Want kids - Answer this honestly. You don't want to waste your time with a woman looking for something different.
Education - Women typically gravitate towards men at the same education level.
Body type - Unless you're super fit, "average" is your best option.
Height - Never lie about your height. Men typically add a few inches to their height.
Faith - If this is important to you, share it. Otherwise, leave it blank.
Smoke - Men who smoke get fewer matches; however, women who smoke are more likely to respond.
Drinks - Answer this question honestly.

Languages spoken - Answer this question honestly.
Work - Do not list your employer. Sharing what you do is a better choice.
Schools - This shows you're educated. The bonus is women who went to the same school may contact you.
Education - If you didn't go to college, leave this blank.
Political views - If you're comfortable sharing your views, it's OK to answer this question.
Pets - If you have a dog, answer this question. Otherwise, leave it blank.
Exercise habits - If you exercise, answer the question. Leave this question blank if you're not active.
Covid-19 vaccine - Answer this question if it's important to you.

One final point - sharing your political views can make or break you, depending on where you live. Women who share your views find you hotter, while women on the opposite end find you less attractive.

The "What I'm looking for" section of Match.com allows you to enter more traits PLUS include what you're looking for in a partner. It's a good idea to select what you're looking for in a partner, so you don't waste time with bad matches.

Some of the traits below carries over from the sections above. For example, your answer to "marijuana" in the "More" section carry over to the "Lifestyle" section and vice-versa.

Here are the different traits in the section. You don't have to answer what you're looking for in a partner, but proceed if it's important to you.

Appearance

Height - Answer honestly; don't lie about your height.
Body type - Average is your best option unless you're in phenomenal shape. Be careful about requiring what type of body you're looking for in a partner.

Lifestyle

Marijuana - Answer if it's important to you. If you're open to dating someone who smokes marijuana, share it.
Smoking - If you share you're a smoker, you will get fewer matches. Women who are fellow smokers respond at a greater rate.
Drinking - Answer this question honestly about yourself and your ideal partner.
Relationship - Share your current relationship status.
Have kids - Answer honestly about yourself and what you want in a partner.
Want kids - Answer, so you don't waste time with women on the opposite page.

Background

Ethnicity - Answer truthfully about yourself, and if a woman's ethnicity is important, go ahead and answer it.
Faith - Same answer as above.
Languages spoken - Share the languages you speak. If it's a "must-have" in a partner, then answer it as well.
Education - Share your education level and what you're looking for in a partner (if it's important to you).

Match.com requires your primary photo to be a "good, unobstructed view of your face that's big enough for potential matches to see you clearly." You must appear in your primary photo on the app.

Smile - The first thing women look at in pictures is your smile. Make sure you show teeth. A grin or smirk is not a smile.
Look at the camera - Women want to see your eyes, so look directly at the camera. And no sunglasses.
Include a full-body picture - You must include one photo showing yourself from head to toe. It looks like you're hiding something when you don't include a full-body shot.
Showcase interests - Share a few pictures engaging in your hobbies. Hiking, riding a bike, surfing, kayaking, etc. Anything beats pictures inside your home or a selfie.
Outdoor photos - Get outside. Women want to picture themselves alongside you doing something fun.
Use natural lighting - Avoid dark or grainy photos. Natural sunlight is your best bet.
Avoid selfies - Especially shirtless selfies. Match found 33% of women found shirtless photos a complete turnoff.
Be presentable - Dress nicely. A nice pair of jeans and shirt works great. Tuxedos and suits are overdoing it.
Maintain a consistent look - Your face should match in photos - meaning no beards among a series of cleanshaven photos. Avoid photos with both long hair and short hair.

5. "Topics" and "Trending Topics" section.

Match has two sections on your profile that are essentially personality questions. These are the "Topics" and "Trending Topics" sections, and I recommend answering both.

The Topics section allows you to personalize your profile by answering a series of questions that highlight your profile. Questions you can answer include:

I'm most grateful for...
Beach or mountains?

Here's an example for the "For fun I like to" Topic. Random Groupon adventures, hikes followed by a margarita, binging Forensic Files on Netflix, live music, board games with friends, and wine tasting.

The Trending Topics section of Match.com allows you to "express your thoughts regarding current events." Topics are displayed directly under your main photo, so you must answer them.

Trending Topics are temporary - they represent current events. For example, in January 2022, Match has these as Trending Topics:

Something I’ll leave behind in 2021
In 2021, I learned

Of course, as time moves forward, the topics above will change. Match will remove them from your profile.

The template above works for me spectacularly. Let's drive into each section.

Section 1 - Write about yourself. In this section, share your passions, interests, hobbies, etc. Anything is fair game. Paint a picture of your lifestyle in an engaging way.

Create a list of things you enjoy. It can be one of the following:

Cooking
The outdoors
Traveling
Your kids
Live music

Anything you enjoy can be on your list. For example, if you live an active lifestyle, be descriptive.

A good way of describing an interest is answering "how," "what," or "why." For example, if you are active, share "how you are active" or "why you are active."

Suppose you're active and adventurous. Here is what you can write:

I'm active and adventurous. It can be a simple hike at Torrey Pines or pushing myself at El Capitan; anything to get outside and enjoy nature. Of course, I always reward myself after a good hike with a nice hoppy beer and a burger to completely negate all the calories I burned.

One tip I recommend is including the names of local places. It makes your profile sound less generic.

Section 2 - Share what you're looking for in a partner. In this section, you write what you're looking for in a woman.

One study found men who get the best results follow a 70/30 rule. 70% of your profile should be about you and 30% about what you're looking for in a partner.

Be honest about what you want in a partner. Set the bar high, but be realistic. Here is an example of my description on Match:

I'm looking for a woman who is funny and intelligent. You are passionate about something, independent, sensual and sexual, active but don't mind splitting a pizza, and love random Groupon adventures.

Here are a few more pointers for your bio. Keep these in mind as you write it:

Keep your summary 100% positive. Avoid negativity - 36% of women polled on the website Word Tips found negativity a turnoff.
Humor is effective. If you can make a woman smile, you're off to a great start.
Show supreme confidence. Avoid being wishy-washy.
Check your grammar. 69% of women in one Match.com survey judged men most on the grammar in their profile.

When using this approach, be sure to include things you enjoy doing in your message. List things women enjoy doing (wine tasting, concerts, traveling, etc.).

Why do women choose to not use photos in their profiles? It can be several reasons:

The woman may be afraid of being recognized on the app.
Maybe she hasn't simply gotten to uploading a photo yet.
She could still be married.
A woman might be unsure of online dating and dipping her toes in the online dating pool.
The woman may prefer to be anonymous.

All I care about with this approach is getting a response. Once a woman responds, you can steer the conversation whichever way you want.

It's better to say something funny to break the ice. Use my example above as a reference or create something with a splash of humor.

Creating a great Facebook Dating profile is easy. You must put up a complete profile to stand out and grab a woman's attention.

This post shows how to create (or fix) your Facebook Dating profile. If you want to know how to do well on the app, follow the tips below.

The profile traits section.
The hobbies and interests section.
Put up a great photo portfolio.
Answer at least 3 prompts.

1. The intro (bio) section.

Your bio is THE MOST important part of your profile. Yes, more important than photos.

A great bio increases likes and responses to your messages. Women are also more likely to contact you first.

Facebook Dating gives you 500 characters to write your bio. It's more than enough room to put up a great bio.

Facebook Dating isn't Match.com, so you don't need to write long-winded sentences in your bio. Short and to the point is the best approach.

Women want to see an effort in your bio. Tips for your bio include:

Include a few of your interests and hobbies.
Add depth to your bio. Dive into a few details about your life.
Keep your bio 100% positive. Don't write what you "aren't looking for or tell women to "swipe left."
Add a sentence or two about what you're looking for in a partner.
Pay attention to your grammar. Bad grammar shows you're lazy or don't care.
Avoid a laundry list of must-haves.
Share what makes you unique. It's OK to include a few of your idiosyncrasies because they show your uniqueness.

2. The profile traits section.

An often-overlooked section by men is the profile traits. It's important to select answers to each trait.

Each question in this section helps women know if they're a match or not. Here's a breakdown of the traits available on Facebook Dating:

Looking for - Answer honestly. Don't be afraid to share what you're looking for on the app.
Height - Don't add a few inches to your height. Lying about height is the trait men lie about the most on dating apps.
Job - Describe what you do for a living, not the company you work for currently.
College - Shows your educated. Also, women from the same school are more likely to connect with you.
Degree - Answer honestly. College-educated men get the best results on dating apps.
Your kids - Answer honestly.
Smoking - I recommend leaving this trait blank. Smokers get fewer matches on dating apps.
Drinking - Choose either "never, "occasionally," or leave it blank. Don't choose "often" because nobody likes dating a heavy drinker.
Religion - If this is important to you, answer it. Otherwise, leave it blank.

Some traits allow you to choose "prefer not to say" as an answer. Never select this option because it looks like you're hiding something.

Don't overdo it with hobbies and interests. Selecting 5-10 interests is more than enough.

4. Put up a great photo portfolio.

Your photos are critical for success on Facebook Dating. Unfortunately, most men use terrible pictures and get terrible results on the app.

It's simple to put up a great photo portfolio. Follow the tips below, and you'll grab women's attention:

Smile - The first thing women look at in pictures is a smile. A smile shows you're friendly and approachable.
Look at the camera - Women want to see your eyes. Don't hide your face - no sunglasses or masks.
Include a full-body picture - Women want to see your entire body. If you don't use at least one picture head-to-toe, it looks like you're hiding something.
Showcase your hobbies and interests - Share photos of doing things you enjoy. Examples include hiking, traveling photos, concerts, cooking, kayaking, etc.
Maintain a consistent look - Don't use a clean-shaven picture along with photos sporting a beard. Make sure your hair is similar in all photos.

The Be naughty review is simple - the app is an utter disappointment. It's one of the worst choices for finding a casual relationship.

Be naughty claims, "Our service helps you to discover new people whether you are interested in just a friendly conversation or a serious relationship." The app also says it gives "yourself a chance to find love and build meaningful connections." The app fails to fulfill this claim miserably.

My credit card was hacked - TWICE!

Before diving into my review, I want you to know I tested this app twice using the premium version. Unfortunately, my credit card was hacked both times I tested the app.

So, just a warning for you. I don't recommend this app because my credit card was compromised using it to pay for the premium version of this app.

What is Be naughty?

Be naughty claims it's an app for "building meaningful connections," but it appears to be an app for sex at first glance. A high percentage of women's profile photos are naked or in sexual positions.

Also, when joining the app, you may think there are a ton of female members. This is a total deception. In my testing, nearly 99% of profiles are fakes, and I was contacted by bots.

Is Be naughty free?

Be naughty allows you to view profiles for free. You can also send a message for free, but it's limited.

If a woman sends you a message, you cannot read it unless you upgrade to a premium membership. A timer appears, and once it expires, the message is removed from your inbox.

Looking for - Enter the age and distance you're seeking for women.
Additional info - More traits including eye color, social drinker, weight, education, etc.

I recommend adding a few quality photos. Also, write something in your "personal info" section. Describe yourself or write what you're looking for.

What are the features of Be naughty?

Like Gallery - This feature allows you to swipe right or left on random profiles. You can also send a message to women.
Chatrooms - You can chat with other people using the app. The majority of people are men seeking women.
Filtering tool - Be naughty has a very good filtering tool. Traits include photos, ethnicity, eye color, piercings, etc.

When using the Be naughty app, it appears there are a lot of women using the app. It's a lie - the majority of profiles are fake.

Appearances are deceiving - All the profiles above are fake.

Women are using the Be naughty app. Unfortunately, there's a handful. You are subjected to an onslaught of likes and messages from fake profiles like the one below.

It's frustrating using the app because the majority of profiles are fake. I was able to connect with three women while hundreds of fakes.

Pay attention to the profiles on Be naughty. Fakes profiles typically use 1 photo and have an age range of 18 - 78 years old in "any city." This is because the profiles are visible to all men using the app.

Is Be naughty a good way to meet women?

When looking at apps, I ask two questions: 1) Are there women on the app, and 2) Does the app deliver on its promise? Here's the breakdown for my Be naughty review:

1. Are women on the Be naughty app? No. I tested this app several times and encountered 2 women. I was bombarded with fakes. The sheer number of bots on this app is beyond belief.

2. Does Be naughty deliver on its promise? No. Be Naughty promises, "Our service helps you to discover new people whether you are interested in just a friendly conversation or a serious relationship" and "Give yourself a chance to find love and build meaningful connections. The app fails because it's full of fake profiles.

There are tons of bots on the Be naughty app.

Beware of bots on Be naughty.

Final Thoughts

The experience on Be Naught is terrible. It's one of my worst experiences testing an app. I was contacted by fake females constantly.

Be warned - if you use the app, you will be inundated with messages and likes from fake profiles. It will happen.

The app also encourages you to upgrade to the premium membership through deception. You can message a woman for free, but if one responds, you cannot read her message. A timer appears, and once it expires, the message is gone - unless you upgrade your membership.

While using the free version, the app continually sends you popups to upgrade your membership. It ruins the experience.

If you decide to test the app, choose a week. Make sure you immediately cancel your membership.

Canceling your membership is a chore on Be naughty. You have to go through hoops. Once canceling (after several screens), the app emails you a code that you have to re-enter in your profile settings. It's a pain.

I did connect with a few women, but hardly any use the app. The app is not worth joining.

I could go into a few of the positives, but in the end, there aren't enough women on the app. I can't recommend this app at all. Look elsewhere.

Zoosk offers several premium features that supposedly help you on the app. Premium features include:

Premium Messaging - Non-paying members can respond to your messages.
Hide & Seek - View other members without them knowing.
Read Receipts - You can see if a woman reads your message or not.
Instant Crush - A sort of "super like" that, according to Zoosk, makes it 5 times more likely to start a conversation.
Undo - If you accidentally say no to someone using the Carousel feature, an undo allows you to go back and say yes.
Coins - Virtual currency you can use to buy virtual gifts, boost your profile, and unlock Carousel matches.

You don't need any of the features above. They are a complete waste of money and add no value.

You don't need to waste money on these add-on features when you have a great profile and icebreakers. Save your money and do not purchase any premium features on Zoosk.

Zoosk has a great feature - you can see women currently online using the app. One of my favorite tips and tricks for Zoosk is focusing on women online. You're more likely to get a response to messages.

When you send a message, it goes to the top of a woman's inbox. Suppose the woman is offline and you send a message. Great, your message is first in her queue.

However, suppose the woman checks her inbox 5 hours after you send a message. Guess what? 20 other men sent her a message, and now your message is buried deep in her inbox.

It's best to use Zoosk in the evening because that's when most women use the app. Use Zoosk's filtering tool focusing on women online whenever using the app.

9. "Likes" are worthless - send a message instead.

A common blunder for men is liking a woman's profile without sending a message. There's no reason to simply like a profile when you can send a message.

The voice prompts on Hinge are a maximum of 30 seconds, so you must keep it on point, show effort, and relax while recording.

If you are looking to get better results on Hinge, use the voice prompt feature. Here are the steps for adding a great voice prompt to your Hinge profile:

Chose your prompt.
Don't "wing it" - Create a script.
Check the grammar by reading the prompt out loud.
Test your prompt timing using a stopwatch.
Record the prompt and post it to your Hinge profile.

2. Don't "wing it" - Create a script.

Don't attempt to record a prompt on the fly. It's a better idea to write out your answer beforehand.

You're creating a script that's under 30 seconds. Take your time to create a solid answer to the prompt. Think it through.

Here's an example for the "I bet you can't" prompt: "I bet that you cannot beat me in a cooking contest. That's right; I have several amazing dishes in my repertoire. Obviously, we'll have wine doing this, and the loser (which, of course, will be you) does dishes. I think that's fair, right?"

I recommend opening a text document (Word or Notepad) and jotting down your answer for the prompt. Here's an example of my voice prompt for the "My ideal date from home" prompt:

"I'm thinking a delicious meal from scratch... there are a ton of options. Maybe grilled swordfish, a homemade pizza, or a spicy stir-fry. The possibilities are endless. Whatever we end up making, wine will be involved, and of course, music will be playing. And one final point - I volunteer you to chop the onions."

OK, you're ready for the next step - reading the prompt out loud. Don't just sit and read it. You must hear your voice to catch errors.

We see things differently than we hear them. So, reading the prompt out loud allows you to catch grammatical errors, gaps, poor sentence structure, or unnecessary pauses. Listen for things that don't make sense.

Fix any mistake you catch. Repeat this step until you're satisfied with the prompt.

4. Test your prompt timing using a stopwatch.

Hinge gives you 30 seconds for voice prompts, so its length must fall under that time window. You must test your new prompt using a timing device. - use the stopwatch on your phone or use the stopwatch on Google.

Time yourself reading your prompt, ensuring it's under 30 seconds.

Start the timer and read your prompt. Here are some dos and don'ts:

Do's for reading your prompt:

Relax - You want a nice, friendly flow.
Sit up straight as your read the prompt.
Read as if you're in a conversation.
Exude confidence.
Keep it slow and steady.
Be loose - Emit a friendly, positive vibe. Women can read your energy.

Don'ts for reading your prompt:

Don't laugh at your jokes.
Don't speed through the prompt - Remember to take your time.
Don't be long-winded - "Well, let me see here.."
Don't stutter and avoid long pauses.
Don't start off on the wrong foot - "I'm not good at this, but here I go..."
Don't ad-lib - It may cause you to lose focus.

Keep your prompt on point. Focus on what you wrote down. Stick to the script.

If you stumble, reset the timer and start over. You're testing it first to ensure it's under 30 seconds. If the prompt goes over 30 seconds, trim things from it.

5. Record the prompt and post it to your Hinge profile.

Once you confirm the prompt is under 30 seconds, record it. Remember, relax as you read it. Just follow the "do's" above.

If you make a mistake, Hinge allows you to restart and do it again. It's easy. If you're satisfied with the prompt, post it.

Hinge is fantastic because you can test your prompts. Leave your prompt up for two weeks. If women aren't commenting on it or liking it, either update the prompt or delete it and choose a new one.
