POF Finds The Best Places to Pick Up Cougars

Plentyoffish (POF) has examined the messaging behavior of older women and significantly younger men to determine the Top 10 “Cougar Towns” in the United States.

In case you don’t know the definition of a cougar, here are a couple.

From an online dictionary: “An older woman seeking a sexual relationship with a younger man.”

Any my favorite, from an urban dictionary: “An older woman who frequents clubs in order to score with a much younger man. The cougar can be anyone from an overly surgically altered wind tunnel victim, to an absolute sad and bloated old horn-meister, to a real hottie or milf. Cougars are gaining in popularity — particularly the true hotties — as young men find not only a sexual high, but many times a chick with her shit together.”

POF was able to pinpoint, with surgical precision, the top places where younger men can meet older women in the United States.

Apparently, Texas is tops among the best places to pick up cougars as it has 5 of the top 10 cities on the list.

Further Research

After determining the top 10 best places to pick up cougars, POF surveyed 500 single women between the ages of 40-60 in an effort to find their thoughts on dating younger men.

65% of the surveyed women said they have dated a man at least 7 years younger than themselves.

When asked how much younger, 56% of the women dated men 7-10 years younger while 24% of the women dated men 10 – 15 years younger.

Why Older Women Date Younger Men

POF asked the participants why they chose to date younger men.

28% of the women said the benefits of dating a younger man is “that it’s purely physical and fun” while 24% of women selected “other” which was an open field in the survey.

Some of the responses included “better health and appearance”, “age is just a number”, “we connected”, and “a younger man has more energy.”
