5 Tips For Finding The Best Website For Meeting Women
What is the best website for meeting women? The good thing is there are plenty of options for finding someone. Maybe too many options available, which leads is frustrating with a lot of men.
Honestly, if an app has women on it, you can meet someone. Most guys look for which app is ideal for meeting girls, but that's the wrong question.
Instead, men should ask which app is best for me! Here are five tips that help answer what is the best website for meeting women for you.
1. Are there women on the app?
The first thing you should check is if women are on the app you're interested in joining I'm sure you're thinking, "Thanks Captain Obvious," but some apps have more female members than others. Your location also plays a factor.
If you're in a big city like New York or Los Angeles, you have options. However, if you're in a rural area, some sites may have more women on the app than others.
How do you know if there are women on the app in your area? It depends on the app you're looking at joining.
You can sign up for free and browse anonymously on apps like Match.com, OkCupid, and Zoosk. You don't have to load photos and can leave your bio pretty bare bones so you can search for women.
If you do this, don't like a woman or send a message if your bio is blank or you don't have photos. Women ignore guys who do this because they think you're cheating or are lazy because of the lack of effort in your profile. Just browse anonymously, seeing if the app is right for you.
On apps like Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge, there are no browsing of profiles. You must go all-in on these apps. If you put up an empty bio while searching for women, they see you in their feed and will mostly swipe left after seeing your empty bio.
You get no second chances on apps like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, and Facebook Dating. So, you can't join and browse anonymously to see if it's worth it. It's safe to assume there are women on these apps, though.
2. Are you willing to join a paid dating site?
How serious are you about meeting someone online? Better yet, would you spend money to meet a woman on a dating app? I find the best website for meeting women are apps that have paid memberships.
If you want a long-term relationship, I'm a huge proponent of joining a paid dating app. There are several options, including Match, Eharmony, EliteSingles, Zoosk, etc.
The advantage of a paid dating app is women are serious about finding a guy. Nobody likes wasting money, so when women are on a paid dating app, you know they are there for a reason and aren't simply "checking things out."
I cover the benefits of a paid dating site over free here, Why Paid Dating Sites Are Better Than Free Sites For Meeting Women.
One last tip is you can search for discounts online. Just type into Google, "discounts for (SITE)" where "site" is the app you're interested in. So, if you want to find deals on Match, type into Google "Discounts for Match.com."
I was able to find discounted memberships for Eharmony where I found a 50% discount on my membership. You can also reach out to customer service for any dating app as they may offer you a discount if you ask.
If you're unwilling to join a paid dating app, don't worry. Several apps are somewhat free; Tinder, OkCupid, POF, Bumble, Hinge, Coffee Meets Bagel, and Facebook Dating, to name a few.
Keep in mind, except for Facebook Dating, all these "free" apps have premium features for full use of their function. Tinder limits your daily swipes, Hinge doesn't allow you use of their search filter, and POF won't let you contact upgraded members. So, free apps aren't always free.
3. What are you looking for?
Are you looking for casual dating? Do you want a long-term relationship and maybe marriage down the road? Maybe you're just looking for friendship right now.
Whatever you're seeking, make sure you're using the right dating app. You have a ton of options for meeting someone and don't want to join the wrong dating site; otherwise, you're wasting your time and possibly money.
For example, you wouldn't use Eharmony for casual dating, and I'd recommend against using Tinder if you're looking for marriage and kids. To make sure you're using the right dating app, visit my page, which helps you Find The Best Website For You.
Here are a few things to consider when determining the best website for meeting women:
- Do you want a family?
- Are you looking for a relationship or just want to date without commitment?
- How important is religion to you?
- Do you care about the ethnicity of your partner?
- Do you have other requirements?
These are things you must consider when looking at dating apps. There are niche apps that focus on religion as well as ethnicity. The last thing you want to do is join the wrong dating app.
4. How important are the features of dating apps to you?
Some apps are bare-bones, while others have a ton of features. Zoosk has several features, while Christian Mingle is bare bones, not having a lot of bells and whistles. Sites like Match.com, Jdate, and Christian Mingle allows you to focus on meeting someone without any distracting features and games.
Zoosk has coins, which is its virtual currency giving you access to certain features. Coffee Meets Bagel has beans, similar to Zoosk's coins, is its currency that allows you to unlock other features as well.
One critical component which can help you is a site's filtering tool. Match.com, POF, OkCupid, and Zoosk, for example, offer tons of filtering tools helping you narrow down your options.
- Want a partner who is educated? You can search for that.
- Want a woman who wants kids? Go ahead and search.
- Want a partner who doesn't smoke? Seek and find!
- Would you like to see all the women who have never been married, have dark hair, and don't have kids? You can filter on those!
The point is you can seek whatever you want if a site has filters. Search filters are a great resource, and I encourage them to help you find your ideal partner.
On the flip side are apps like Tinder, which gives you age and distance. Want to meet someone who doesn't want kids on Tinder? Well, you have to mutually like each other, start a conversation, and then ask her if she wants kids. All that work is avoided on apps that have a filtering mechanism.
It all boils down to what's important to you. Basically, you got options on certain apps while others, you're on your own.
5. Do you worry about fake profiles or scams?
I'm on dating apps constantly and see they all have problems with fake profiles and scammers. Some more than others. Mainstream sites such as Match, Zoosk, OkCupid have fewer fakes compared to apps like MeetMe, Baddoo, and Twoo.
I have been contacted by fakes, bots, escorts, and a few who asked for money in their first message. I consider myself good at spotting fakes, but sometimes I get suckered.
Recently I gave my email quickly to a woman who seemed real off OkCupid. I immediately got links to fake porn sites. Sometimes it happens.
Always protect yourself and never let your guard down. If someone seems too good to be true, she probably is. Odds are you will have a fake bot send you a message at some point. Keep your eyes open.
It's usually easy to spot fake profiles. Take this example from Tinder; the profile points to an external website. This profile is clearly a spammer.
Some sites offer photo verification, which helps protect you; Bumble and Zoosk, for example. You are at least assured, those women look like their photos.
When it comes to scams, it's simple. Don't give anyone money off a dating app. Period. Never. End of discussion.
Here are a few more tips:
- Don't click on links in a message or profile bio.
- Don't give your email address.
- Don't immediately give your phone number if a woman asks for it in her first message.
- Keep an eye out for bad grammar on profiles.
- When you swap numbers, immediately Google the number and check it on Facebook.
- Be wary of profiles where a gorgeous woman has one photo.
- Look for bad English in messages.
