Quarantined? How to connect with women during Coronavirus on dating apps
You can connect with women on dating apps during the Coronavirus outbreak. With social distancing and self-quarantine, it's human nature to want to connect with someone. And you should reach out to women on dating apps.
Yes, it's scary right now. It goes without saying you need to take care of yourself.
If there's one positive, it's women are still active on dating apps. OkCupid found 92% "are still dating as usual amid the spread of Coronavirus." I'm on these apps all the time and can confirm, there are tons of women actively using dating apps.
Don't be afraid to reach out to women on dating apps. Many are eager to chat with someone because we all crave human interaction. So, how do you start conversations with women during this chaos?
Here's how you can connect during the Coronavirus on dating apps. I like to use humor in my profile and messages.
I stay away from really serious openers, so my advice is to keep it light. After all, with everything so serious right now, and justifiably so, it's a good idea to put a smile on a woman's face.
How to mention the Coronavirus in your bio.
Let's start with your dating profile. Below is an example of my headline on Plentyoffish. I don't specifically use the words, Coronavirus, but bring up the mad rush for toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
Another way of addressing Coronavirus is in your bio. Here's an example from Bumble. I put my answer to this question front and center. Meaning, make it the first one women see and don't bury it at the bottom of your bio.
Again, I don't use the word Coronavirus but use a little humor in my "Two truths and a lie" answer.
Here's another example on OkCupid. I mention some new shows on Netflix and ask for recommendations during my self-imposed social distancing. It's always a good idea to keep current shows or movies in your bio.
Not only does it act as a great hook because a lot of women watch the same thing, but it shows you keep your bio current. It's critical you update your bio at least once a month because you never know what can capture a woman's attention.

Show some humor in your icebreakers
A great approach in your conversation starters is using humor. You should always inject some humor in your icebreakers.
The first example below is from Plentyoffish where I compliment the woman telling her she has great taste in men and tack on a little tidbit about "toilet paper and canned goods." Note her response to my icebreaker as she says she "loves" it.
Here's an example from OkCupid where I present a woman a couple of options in a partner and ask which she prefers. The funny part is not only bringing up products that are in short supply but pointing the fact I have the traits and the goods in question. Note how she mentions it's a funny message.
Here's an example from Hinge where I ask a woman how many days in she is on quarantine. I share my answer and again, bring up toilet paper. What do you know, it starts a conversation.

Final Thoughts
Women are still active on dating apps during the Coronavirus. You can mention this epidemic in your profile and messages through humor. This isn't about not taking this seriously. You should absolutely heed the advice of the CDC.
Take precautions and protect yourself and those around you. It's also good to connect with women on dating apps.
The tips above are meant to help meet a woman on whatever dating app you're on. If you can put a smile on a woman's face, you're off to a good start. That's important right now.
Stay safe!
